There are presently two active Spheres. Only the GARE Sphere still takes newcomers. Here is a short description of the two:
« La Gare » is a networking group of fifteen or so professionals from the Brome-Missisquoi region. The GARE members work in different sectors, most of them in retail and services, for individuals and enterprises alike.
The GARE group usually meets on Tuesday morning, every three weeks, somewhere in the heart of Cowansville.
The meetings usually last an hour. Just like any business networking meeting, the participants are allowed a 1 minute presentation, but have also the duty to thank anyone who have referred them.
Each meeting allows newcomers to join the group by invitation of members of the group.
There is no additional fee for our Spheres - it is a privilege restricted to active CCB-M members. For further information, please contact Nathalie Benoît at (450) 266-1665, ext. 220.
The “Diversity” Sphere is a group of 9 entrepreneurs who come from nine different lines of business. Aside from networking, the goal of this Sphere is to allow members to share their realities and other relevant topics. With each member’s strength and experience put to contribution, everyone can help one another with advice on their business managment. The meetings occur every 6 weeks and last 2 hours. A different theme is chosen for every two-period meeting.
The first period is dedicated to discussion, where members get to talk about the latest developments in their line of business, their own companies or some good news they would like to share with their fellow entrepreneurs
Then the topic is exposed. Each beginning of the year their set up a calendar with the topics suggested by the members; every member is in charge of a theme. Then in due course, each member gives a presentation or invites an expert on the subject. During the presentation, members discuss the topic according to their knowledge, respective fields or personal experience in order to share it with the rest of the group.
It is a rather congenial type of gathering, enjoyed by all.
